You must reside and attend school in Yuba or Sutter County, CA.

Be a current 12th-grade student.

Have been a member of a local FFA chapter for at least three years, and/or in a Yuba–Sutter 4‐H club for at least three years.

1. Official high school transcript

Include an official copy of your full transcript.

 

2. One letter of recommendation
From your FFA advisor or a 4‐H leader.

 

3. Handwritten letter of intent (250–500 words)
Your essay must include:

 

• A short personal biography.
• Your immediate and long-term goals (education, career, personal).

• Any financial need you have.
• A response to the prompt:

 

“Describe an experience in your life that has built character in you, that has influenced your
values and beliefs, and might even have aided in your current decision‐making processes.”

 

Be sure to handwrite it, not type it!
Include your address, phone number, and email on the essay.
